How much you concern about your beauty ?

Associating goodness with beauty is not a new practice. The Greek New Testament uses the word beautiful to describe the Christian life, with God describing his devoted subjects as "beautiful" people. Thus, good works in Matthew 5:16 are literally "beautiful" works. In the fifth century, St Augustine wrote in his sermons that appearance was the litmus of character. He explained that a strong person would see beauty reflected in the mirror no matter how truly ugly or beautiful he was. "Don't blame the mirror," if you see yourself as ugly he said. "Go back to yourself. The mirror isn't deceiving you, take care you don't deceive yourself."

If you are an always-busy person having quite a plenty of daily activities, you might not have time to take enough care of your health and beauty. Here are some practical tips on how to stay healthy and looking good - while keeping busy:

  • Water is essential for your health and beauty, so make sure to drink minimum 6 glasses of mineral water each day. Coffee, tea and alcoholic drinks cause dehydration. If you wake up in the morning with a sad look, it signifies that your body is lack of water. Inadequate water in your body gives an obvious effect to your skin.
  • Having breakfast is very important. Both your brain and body need energy to do their activities. It’s unnecessary to have a heavy meal in the morning. Just prepare some quick but healthy meal, such as yoghurt, bread, cereal, egg and fruit.
  • Eat one or two tomatoes during your short breaks. Tomatoes are anti-oxidants; they help fighting cancer cells in your body. If you don’t like eating tomatoes, tomato sauce or paste is the same good as raw tomatoes.
  • Avoid having donuts, candies or sweet cookies. If you are hungry, just have some sandwich, yoghurt or fruit juice instead. Beside healthy, such foods help keeping you in shape.
  • Consume multivitamins, though the effect is not as great as if you consume fresh fruit. Vitamins A, B, C and E are essential for your health. They also help you to look young. Yet if you are a heavy smoker or drinker, multivitamins won’t effect so much.
  • Smoking may give you some special taste and relaxation, but consider the bad effect to your health in the long term. Nicotine also gives bad effects to your skin look. Though you’ve been smoking for many years, it’s never too late to stop smoking.
  • Virus transfers through hands, lift buttons, phones, computers etc., so wash your hands especially when you are going to eat something, or when you are having cold.
  • Brush your teeth at least twice a day. Other than avoiding teeth problems, this will also save time and money you may spend for visiting a dentist.
  • Choose stairs instead of lifts. Use stairs for at least 3 or 4 floors then you can have lifts for the next floors. Don’t park your car very near to your workplace so that you can have some decent walk everyday.
  • Stresses accelerate aging of your body, so minimize your stresses. Breathe deeply to reduce your stress level. Do this regularly. Adequate amount of oxygen will freshen your body up.

Healthy Foods for you

Healthy Foods for you

"Lather, rinse, repeat" may be standard advice, but shampoo and conditioner alone won't give you the healthy hair you crave. For the most luxurious locks possible, you'll need to step out of the shower, and into the kitchen.

"Your hair grows about 1/4 to 1/2 inch every month, and the foundation of all of our new hair, skin, and nail growth is the nutrients we eat," says Dawn Jackson Blatner, RD, a Chicago-based dietitian. "If you eat a healthy diet, you will grow stronger and healthier cells throughout your entire body -- inside and out."

If you were born with fine, thin hair, you'll never have rope-thick tresses no matter what you eat but a well-balanced diet that includes plenty of growth-promoting protein and iron can make a difference, say nutrition and hair experts.

And beware of dietary supplements often marketed to thicken hair or make it grow faster. They may backfire.

"Even though you can find beauty supplements on the shelves of most stores, try to get the nutrients you need from foods whenever possible," Paradi Mirmirani, MD, a dermatologist in Vallejo, Calif., tells WebMD. "In rare instances, excess supplementation of certain nutrients, such as vitamin A, has been linked to hair loss."

Hair Care Tips

Your hair is an essential element to your signature overall look. It’s one of the first things someone will notice about you. If you aren’t careful in caring for your hair, even the most expensive cosmetics, jewelry and fashion forward clothing won’t make up for dull, damaged and lifeless locks. Here are the key culprits for damaged hair: too much sun, excessive or harsh brushing, heat styling, overly stressful lifestyles, chlorine, salt water and even bad habits like twirling your hair. Here are some helpful hints to help you prevent damage, grow your hair to the length you desire and keep it looking strong, shiny and healthy.

New make-up tips

Eye Makeup

Your eye makeup is perhaps the most important part of your overall look. Eyes get attention, draw people in, and communicate a great deal about you before you say a word. But, if done poorly, eye makeup can be the first clue that you are wearing too much makeup, or are simply trying too hard. The trick is knowing when and where to use different eye makeup looks.

Generally, you will only want to play up one main facial feature at a time. So if you’re planning on doing a more elaborate eye makeup look, you will want a neutral, or lighter lip color. If you’re planning on drawing attention to your lips, use a more natural, toned-down eye makeup look. Here are a few top looks that every fashionista should master: the smokey eye makeup look, the cat eye makeup look, the natural or no makeup look.

Skin Care

Healthy, clear skin is the ultimate beauty must-have. When your skin is taken care of, you can pull off more makeup looks, handle a wider variety of cosmetics products, and look better when you don’t even have makeup on at all. The key steps in starting the best skin care regimen for your skin is to determine your skin type and texture. Is it on the dry side, or is it more on the oily side? You may even have combination skin. The next step is selecting quality skin care products. The right products will address the needs of your individual skin type and give you the best results.

Nail Care Tips

Your nails form a very important part of your hands and they too need to be well taken care of. Well-kept hands, with neat, clean and healthy nails, are a pleasure to behold. On the other hand, dirty and poorly kept nails will make your hands look ugly, even though the latter are healthy and well cared for. In other words, we can say that for your hands to look beautiful, your nails need to be strong and healthy. For the purpose, you need to undertake certain steps, such as cleaning your nails on a regular basis, treating the cuticles properly and keeping the nails well moisturized. Go through the hand nail care tips given below and know more on keeping you nails well nurtured and full of healthy shine.
  • To harden soft nails, soak them in warm olive oil for about 20 minutes, on alternate days.
  • To remove stains from your nails, mix one tablespoon of lemon juice in a cup of water and soak your nails in this liquid for a few minutes. Then, wash off with warm water and apply a hand moisturizer.
  • It is not a good idea to remove the cuticles from your nails, as it will make the nail susceptible to infection. Rather, you should make use of good quality cuticle oil and gently push back the cuticles, with the help of an orangewood stick.
  • Try to stay away from acetone polish removers as much as you can and stick to the one that make use of acetate. Still, try not to use a polish remover more than once a week.
  • In case you wear nail polish, make sure to give your nails a break from time to time. In other words leave them without polish for a few days, every now and then. Otherwise, they will develop an ugly, yellow tint.
  • If you want to give a natural sheen to your nails, just like the colorless base coat, rub petroleum jelly on your nails and then buff them, with the help of a soft cloth.
  • If you have brittle nails or split or dull nails, then increasing your consumption of Organic Silica, Vitamin B (especially B5) and MSM (Methyl-Sulfonyl-Methane) will surely help.
  • Never ever resort to nail biting, as it is extremely destructive for the nails as well as the cuticles. If you are in the habit of biting your nails, drop it as soon as possible.
  • Whenever you wash your hands, while bathing as well as otherwise, make sure to dry the nails properly and apply a hand cream or lotion, using it on the nails as well. This is because soap makes the nails dry and brittle.
  • The best time to file your nails is when you are already wearing a polish. This will prevent splitting or breaking of nails.
  • If you have brittle nails, it is advisable to wear a nail polish, or at least the colorless base coat, as much as you can.
